My Story

A New Jersey native, "J.S. Nova" who's real name is "James P Julien" has so much to offer to the Hip hop and entertainment business. He was born and raised in Haiti , then at the age of ten he moved to the U.S. to lived with his father. Nova is the oldest of five brothers and has one older step sister. The second half of his child hood links to the state of Virginia but mostly to the small town of Orange, New Jersey. Nova first introduction to music dates back to him as a child playing instruments like the drums in church. Nova had many dreams growing up, he played sports, drawing, and loved the idea of studying space science in college some day. These dreams perish during Nova High School years where he fell in love with the idea of being a music artist after rapping in class and doing a school talent show. As a huge fan of hip hop, Nova started writing his own raps and teaching himself how to rhyme but  was alway too shy to share his work with others.  Artist like Lupe Fiasco, Nas, J. Cole, Kendrink Lamar, Nipsey Hustle are some of his rap influence.  Nova beat making started his junior year when he learned J. Cole was a rapper on a come up that also made his own beats. The summer of 2011 Nova dowloaded a demo FL studio in started making his own beats while studying the producer life watching videos of legends like 9th Wonder, Timberland, Ryan leslie, Pharrell, Kanye West and Dr. Dre.
